Eligibility
SC / ST / SCA / SCC students in Tamil Nadu with annual family income up to ₹2.5 lakh. All children in a family can receive PMS support.
Who qualifies
- SC, ST, SCA and SCC categories
- Permanent resident/domicile of Tamil Nadu
- Income limit ₹2.50 lakh per year
- All children in a family
Course groups
- Group 1: Professional degrees / postgrad – medicine, engineering, law, management, architecture, CA/CS, Ph.D
- Group 2: Other professional diplomas / certificates – pharmacy, nursing, paramedical, hospitality, media
- Group 3: General degrees – BA, BSc, BCom, MA, MSc, MCom
- Group 4: Post-matric non-degree – +1/+2, ITI, vocational, polytechnic diploma
How to Apply
Apply online through the TN ADTW scholarship portal and submit required Tamil Nadu documents.

- Register or login on the scholarship portal.
- Choose your course and college category.
- Upload community, income, Aadhaar and bank documents.
- Submit and save the application reference.
- Track approval status from the portal.
What PMS Covers
Fees payable for enrolment/registration, tuition, games, Union, Library, Magazine, Medical Examination and such other fees compulsorily payable by the scholar to the institution or University/ Board. This basically means compusary non refundable fees.
Tuition support
Government quota support is based on fee structure and committee-fixed amounts. Management quota support is also available for eligible SC/ST/SCA/SCC students.
Maintenance grant
- Hostellers: up to ₹13,500 per year for professional courses, ₹9,500 for nursing and allied health, ₹6,000 for arts/science.
- Day scholars: up to ₹7,000 per year for professional courses, ₹6,500 for nursing/allied health, ₹3,000 for arts/science.
